Advancing the technical process

Throughout the project, NIRAS supported BioRefine by advancing the technical process development and by developing a maturation project focused on utilising sidestreams for biogas production.

Securing backing and delivering the engineering

NIRAS also assisted in securing financial backing related to the biogas potential and provided engineering of civil works, industrial architecture, and integration of utilities, as well as support in obtaining the necessary approvals to establish and operate the plant.

From foundation to full-scale facility

The conceptual and technical foundation delivered by NIRAS has enabled BioRefine to successfully realise the facility and move forward with scaling sustainable protein production in the agricultural sector.
