NIRAS appoints Lis Thodberg as Sustainability Director in the Process Industry Sector
Sustainability is becoming an increasingly important issue for our clients and it is a key strategic focus area for NIRAS to continuously develop within this area. Therefore NIRAS has appointed Lis Thodberg as the company's new Sustainability Director. She will be responsible for coordinating and further developing NIRAS’s sustainability services for Process Industry clients.

“With this new role and employment of Lis Thodberg, we want to further strengthen our focus in delivering sustainable solutions for our food and pharma clients. We intend to expand our portfolio of offerings to include more Green Fuels as an alternative to fossils-based ones”, says Thomas B. Olsen Senior Vice President in Process Industry.
Lis Thodberg comes with a background as M.Sc. in Biology. She has worked as a Director in NNE A/S for both Health, Safety and Environment, and Sustainability for the past 10 years, heading up a department delivering sustainable design solutions for major life science investments in Northern Europe.
With employments in recycling industry (Solum A/S), consultancies (Sweco, Alectia), industry associations (Landbrug og Fødevarer) and the public sector (Municipality of Rudersdal), Lis has worked with almost every aspect of environmental issues in relation to industrial production the past 30 years.
Strengthen our client dialogues about sustainability
“With Lis on board, we want to strengthen and integrate our sustainability services and tools in the dialogues with our global clients and together develop sustainable solutions for their productions for the benefit of our clients, their products and society in general”, says Thomas B. Olsen Senior Vice President in Process Industry.
Lis will be responsible for coordination of our sustainability services for Process Industry clients, and she will actively participate in NIRAS’s strategic initiatives within GREENsition and sustainability across the organization to support and strengthen our position towards Process Industry clients.
