An Indonesia presence adapted to Indonesia's development needs
NIRAS has a long history in Indonesia, implementing projects from the early 1990s via NIRAS subsidiary LTS International, which was acquired in 2018. After five years with a representative office in the country, NIRAS established a limited liability company (Perseroan Terbatas) in Jakarta in September 2019. With eight full-time staff and the overall support of the more than 400 full-time development professionals in the NIRAS International Consulting business unit, the Indonesia office supports our projects in the country covering Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency, Climate Resilience, Forests and Land Use, Monitoring and Evaluation, Climate Smart Agriculture, GIS and Remote Sensing.
Thanks to our long-term presence, local and international expertise, and understanding of the country's development priorities and political landscape, major donors including DFID, ADB, UKCCU, GGGI, ILO and UNDP have chosen NIRAS to implement their programmes in the country. From supporting economically and ecologically sustainable growth in Papua province to supporting the government in formulating and implementing energy policy to attract investment, we work across sectors and geographies to successfully deliver major projects for our clients.
Additionally, NIRAS Indonesia is the home of the NIRAS Data Futures Hub, an initiative launched in 2019 which seeks to bring together the right experts and partners to solve development challenges through enhanced approaches to data innovation, data quality, and sustainability.
