Operational Performance And Resilience Review Image V2

Operational, Performance and Resilience Review

A fast way for leadership teams to get clarity on where they are, where they could be, and what they should do next.

Two days that could change your perspective

You're close to the business because you have to be. Sometimes a fresh perspective helps you see opportunities, risks and possibilities that aren't obvious when you're managing the day to day.

That's where our Operational, Performance and Resilience Review comes in.

Most leadership teams already know where some of the pressure points are and how they compete for attention. The challenge is often finding the time and headspace to step back, and decide where to focus next.

Over two days, we take a fresh look at your operation through the eyes of experienced engineers, operational specialists and industry experts. We spend time understanding your business, exploring the challenges you're facing and uncovering opportunities that may not be obvious when you're busy keeping things moving.

Because every business is different, every review is different too. Whether you're planning for growth, looking to improve productivity, increase resilience, meet sustainability targets or make an important investment decision, we tailor the review around your priorities and ambitions.

Our role isn't simply to understand where the business is today. It's to help you understand what it will take to achieve your goals tomorrow.

What can we help with?

Our Operational, Performance and Resilience Review can be tailored around the areas that matter most to your business.

This may include:

  • Operational performance and productivity
  • Capacity and future growth
  • Systems, processes and ways of working
  • Costs to operate
  • Organisational capability and resource planning
  • Sustainability and resilience strategies
  • Investment planning and decision making
  • Risk identification and mitigation

How we prepare

Before we arrive on site, we agree the focus areas together, depending on your priorities. This could include:

  • Productivity and capacity data
  • Operational costs
  • Business objectives
  • KPIs
  • OEE performance
  • Current challenges
  • Future investment plans

The aim is simple: make sure the two days are focused on the areas that will deliver the greatest value.

How it works

The review is led by a NIRAS Business Consultant and supported by one or two technical specialists selected to match your business and objectives.

The visit and review is always bespoke and focussed on your operation, your people and your ambitions.

That typically includes:

  • A walk-through of the operation from end to end
  • Discussions with the leadership team
  • Interviews with relevant stakeholders such as production, maintenance, planning, supply chain, engineering and finance
  • Review of current and planned projects
  • Technical and commercial discussions around performance, costs, opportunities and risks

What you'll get

At the end of the review, you'll receive:

  • A summary of key observations
  • Prioritised opportunities for improvement
  • Areas of potential risk
  • Recommendations and potential next steps

Our job isn't to tell you what you want to hear but to help you see what's possible, understand what's standing in the way and make confident decisions about where to focus your time, effort and investment.
