Experienced business leader from DLG, PostNord and Maersk to support NIRAS’s continued development with a focus on transformation, scaling and the green transition.
At the Annual General Meeting on Thursday 23 April 2026, NIRAS Group elected Peter Kjær Jensen (56) to its Board of Directors. Peter Kjær Jensen currently serves as Executive Vice President at DLG, responsible for the Agricultural Business area, and brings extensive experience from senior executive roles and board positions across logistics, digitalisation and the green transition.
Peter Kjær Jensen’s background spans a long international leadership career at A.P. Møller – Mærsk, senior roles at PostNord, and board experience from both Green Energy Group and e-Boks. According to Chair of the Board of NIRAS Group Lisbeth Knudsen, these competencies strengthen NIRAS Group’s strategic capacity at a time of rapid change and rising expectations for the Group’s resilience, agility and value creation.
“Peter Kjær Jensen brings a strong mix of international perspective and proven experience in transformation and scaling – across both traditional value chains and digital business models. These are capabilities that reinforce the Board’s work in developing NIRAS at a time when demands for innovation, AI adoption and operational efficiency are increasing,” says Lisbeth Knudsen.
The new board member sees NIRAS as a company with a clear role in turning complex societal and customer needs into solutions that deliver measurable results – and points in particular to transformation and digital enablement as areas where he aims to contribute actively.
“NIRAS has strong professional expertise and an important position in translating ambitions around resilience, the energy transition and sustainable progress into solutions that work in practice. I see significant potential to further strengthen NIRAS’s position through a focus on transformation, digitally enabled business models and scaling – while maintaining the company’s high quality and integrity in delivery. I look forward to contributing to that agenda,” says Peter Kjær Jensen.
At the Annual General Meeting, Board member Jens Harsaae stepped down, having chosen not to stand for re-election. Jens Harsaae has served on the Board of NIRAS Group since 2023 and, since 2024, has held the role of Vice Chair of the Board.
