The acquisition of Swedish Aperto Architects results in new services and strengthens NIRAS’ competences within contractor consulting services.
NIRAS is buying the Swedish company Aperto Architects and Byggkonsulter AB. In this way NIRAS in strengthening its position as one of the leading consultant companies in Scandinavia with all services put under one roof. With the acquisition NIRAS is adding architecture services as a new area of expertise to the group. Simultaneously the acquisition of Aperto means that NIRAS’ competences within contractor consulting services in Sweden are strengthened.
Aperto was established in 2002 and has around 30 employees today. Like NIRAS Aperto works with interdisciplinary expert knowledge to ensure a coherent solution of assignments. Aperto has huge experience in working with schools, kindergartens, nursing homes and housing.
“In the spring we identified clear synergies through a number of concrete co-operations. We are going to harvest these synergies now that we will be living under the same roof. Together we will be a characteristically strong player. That results in more development opportunities for our employees, and we will gain a bigger width in our services for the benefit of our clients,” Christian Sandberg, CEO of NIRAS’ Swedish businesses, tells.

The founder of Aperto, Torgny Westerberg, will lead the new business unit and be responsible for the development in the Stockholm region.
