As of 1 February 2019, NIRAS acquires the majority of the activities of SE Rådgivning A/S, which is engaged in consultancy services and project management within industrial energy optimisation and reduction.

'By uniting our efforts, we strengthen our consultancy services within the optimisation of operating expenses for customers in the process industry. At the same time, it puts us in an even better position to support our customers in attaining the UN Sustainable Development Goals,' says Thomas B. Olsen, CEO of Process Industry at NIRAS.

A win-win situation

With the acquisition, NIRAS adds 11 new staff who possess strong energy expertise combined with extensive knowledge of industrial production processes, particularly in the energy-intensive process industry, the pharmaceuticals industry and the food industry. The staff will continue to work closely with the SE Group and will be attached to NIRAS' offices in Kolding and Aarhus, Denmark.

'We look forward to tapping into the skills of our new staff for the benefit of our extensive international activities in the process industry,' says Frank Lyngsø, Head of Life Science and Process Design at NIRAS, and goes on:

'At the same time, our new colleagues' strong network of customers in the process industry will benefit from the wide range of skills and services currently offered by NIRAS. Consequently, the acquisition is a win-win for all parties.'

Focus on process industry

SE Rådgivning will become part of NIRAS' Process Industry business area with more than 250 employees who focus on providing consultancy services within the optimisation and design of the production and process plants of the future, supply chains focused on industry, etc.

'It has been a top priority for us to find a better base for our highly competent staff offering a forward-looking perspective and focusing primarily on providing consultancy services to the process industry. We believe that we have found that at NIRAS,' says Thomas Asmund-Hjorth, Sales Manager at SE Group.
