NIRAS Young Professional Academy

Are you ready for an international career where you work closely with colleagues from all over the world to make a difference?
NIRAS’ 2-year international trainee programme ‘NIRAS Young Professional Academy’, puts together 12-25 participants. After an introduction programme at the NIRAS office in Belgrade, you will be working in other NIRAS offices and/or projects worldwide.
If you are accepted to the team, you will work with a large range of colleagues with years of experience in relevant projects. Your academic skills will be augmented with practical experience in writing tenders, managing project, and communication training across cultures. All in a combination of modules of theory and intensive practical exercise.
When the two years are up, you will already be well on the way in your career, and if you do not continue as a consultant at NIRAS, your unique combination of theory and practical abilities will make you highly sought after in the job market.
In order to be considered for the NIRAS Young Professional Academy, you must have a relevant higher education in marine engineering/coastal zone management, food processing, urban planning and transportation, buildings and architecture, water/waste water, agriculture, food security and nutrition, energy, green growth/circular economies, monitoring & evaluation, fund management, public sector reform and land administration. You also have to have up to three years of relevant experience in the context of working with NIRAS’ competence areas (e.g. as internships in consulting firms, voluntary organisations, NGOs, private sector corporate social responsibility schemes, development agencies, foreign ministries, bilateral or multilateral organisations or other work abroad).
Next opening to apply for the NYPA programme will be announced here when the dates have been decided upon.
