Vincent is an accomplished civil and environmental engineer with over 18 years of in-depth experience of managing projects and programmes at all levels. He is an expert in project and construction management and has worked with a vast array of different projects in both rural urban areas. Throughout his career Vincent has worked to provide valuable training, technical advice, assistance with policy development and institutional support and guidance to personnel in local and central government ministries, departments and agencies.
Working with development aid projects is very rewarding for Vincent as he believes that they provide both short- and long-term solutions to issues that support development countries in reaching and fulfilling their own development agendas. “You use current engineering technologies blended to suit the country context, cultural believes and style, and resources available to come up with the best-suited solutions for service delivery”. He is a firm believer in that you need to have an open mind in order to be able to provide engineering solutions that suit the context of the country you are working in and that it is both an opportunity and a legacy to make a difference in developing countries.
Vincent has fit in very well in the NIRAS family and sees many benefits with working with us: “NIRAS is a well organised and professional organisation that makes a difference in continued career development. NIRAS projects are usually multi-sectoral or multi-tasking that provide opportunities for team integration and team work providing grounds for learning more and new things among the experts to widen your knowledge base”. He is also very appreciative of how NIRAS provides professional care and logistic support to experts in the field without comprising on security, something that we always take very seriously.
