NIRAS has a rich experience in creating, managing, sharing, and displaying spatial and remotely sensed information. Understanding where the environmental, social, and economic considerations are – and how they relate to each other in the spatial and temporal context – enable us to support our clients in making informed and timely decisions to achieve their goals.
Since EO and geographical information services (GIS) are often continuous in their spatial and temporal resolutions, their use in SDG monitoring can prove essential in capturing the sustainability of developments underpinning the SDG framework.
Together with out network, we cover the whole geo-data value chain: from data collection with aircraft or drones; production of base maps and elevation models; digitisation of analogue drawings and maps; data refining (in the form of, e.g. geocoding of land registry information and flood maps); data analysis using webGIS solutions; and data visualisation to IT solutions that support a variety of decision-making processes.
