The Partnerships for Forests (P4F)

Investments in forests and sustainable land use

The Partnership for Forests (P4F) mobilises the public and private sectors to generate increased private investments in sustainable forestry. LTS-NIRAS is implementing an evaluation and learning framework within P4F to produce evidence and support learning and adaptive management.

DFID’s Partnerships for Forests (P4F) – an 8-year grant and technical assistance programme – brings together the public and private sectors and communities to catalyse increased private investment in sustainable forestry and ‘zero-deforestation’ agriculture. P4F also supports measures that strengthen demand for sustainable commodities and activities to create the right enabling conditions for sustainable investment.

LTS-NIRAS is supporting the P4F team and DFID in the design and implementation of an evaluation and learning framework that generates evidence to support learning and adaptive management.

The LTS-NIRAS team is responsible for implementing the Evaluation & Learning framework at the outcome level of the programme, ensuring learning across programme activities, and supporting adaptive management and knowledge management within P4F.

MEL tasks carried out by LTS-NIRAS:

  • Development of a programme evaluation and learning framework, in consultation with DFID and the P4F facility;
  • Development of a baseline to support future evaluation of programme outcomes and impacts;
  • Implementation of an evaluation and learning framework for P4F programme activities.
