The Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) aims at ensuring that UK science takes a leading role in addressing challenges experienced by developing countries while also developing the UK's ability to deliver cutting-edge research.
NIRAS-LTS is part of a consortium of research organisations specialising in evaluation contracted by the UK Government Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) to conduct an independent evaluation of the GCRF.
Leading the module on "Research Fairness", LTS-NIRAS will assess the extent to which GCRF treats its partners in the Global South fairly and how it contributes to the emergence of equitable, sustainable global research collaboration.
Working with consortia partners, this assessment of Research Fairness will be embedded within a wider evaluation framework that assesses relevance, gender & inclusion, as well as the overall management of GCRF as a programme – with a view to evaluating results and assessing value for money.
