In-Situ Thermal Remediation of DNAPL using the ISTD method

At a former metal processing plant, detailed design and execution of thermally enhanced remediation of chlorinated solvents, DNAPL, by In Situ Thermal Desorption (ISTD) have been carried out.

The results showed a mass removal of >99%, and the concentrations in the soil after remediation were below the Danish quality criterias for soil.
