NIRAS has just started the detailed design for the third offshore gravity based foundation structure sited at Avedore just outside Copenhagen for DONG Energy. The 1700 tonnes heavy structure shall be the base for a 3.6 MW turbine.
The detailed design is to be finalised in one month and the construction of the structure is to start one month later and to be finalised 1st of august 2011. NIRAS has also conducted the detailed design for the first two foundation stuctures.
