Services throughout the entire project cycle
We have been a player on the wind energy market, right from the construction of the first two offshore wind projects in Denmark - Vindeby and Tunö Knob - in the early nineties to the realisation of today’s largest offshore wind farms in Northern Europe.
NIRAS covers all stages of the project: Planning, detailed design, consulting and project management and project development. We currently have onshore activities in Norway, Scotland, Poland, Germany and Denmark.
We provide consulting services ranging from the early phases of location and feasibility studies (micro siting), through Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and site investigations, to design, construction, certification, commissioning and decommissioning. In addition, we have participated in several research & development (R&D) projects related to wind farms.
Our main onshore and offshore activities are spread throughout a large part of Northern Europe.
