We are leading consultants on planning and designing transport systems in Denmark and internationally, and have carried out projects within road planning, bus and railway systems planning, car parks and the optimisation of public transportation.

Optimising public transportation

We currently provide technical assistance to the Saint Petersburg City Administration for optimising the city’s public transport system. The objective of the project is to make public transportation more attractive to the inhabitants and to improve cost effectiveness. NIRAS’ services include consultancy regarding laws and regulations, GIS-based analyses of demand and supply, vehicle occupancy, cost-recovery rates and proposals for optimisation measures.
