PrintPhysical planning
Adjusting the plan system
Planning is about how we plan for, and make decisions about, the future of
our cities, towns and countryside.
We see a continuous need to adjust and revise the framework for physical
planning, and we assist national and local authorities in drawing up
analyses, reports and example projects that enable them to estimate the
need to develop the plan system or identify the potential within the
existing legal framework.
We work on all scales and with all types of assignments in relation to
physical planning – from national planning to local planning, in Denmark
and abroad.
Physical planning across administrative borders
We see an increase in assignments across administrative borders and levels.
There is considerable – and increasing – focus on linking physical and
strategic planning. This means an increasing need to formulate visions and
development strategies.
We have a strategic approach to planning, and we assist regions and
municipalities in pinning down the factors that set the agenda for
developments. We work with vision development, development of strategies
and action plans and with concrete physical planning. We have special
competences within urban development and town conversion, harbour planning,
strategic planning and regional planning.
It is essential for us that the plans reflect the needs of the target
groups. This presupposes focus on strategy, process and dialogue with
stakeholders, citizen groups and key persons.
