Due Diligence

Scope

NIRAS has substantial experience with Due Diligence, identifying environmental risks in the takeover of both industrial production facilities and office buildings.

The elements of the environmental part of a Due Diligence mainly involve the assessment of:

  • Environmental performance
  • Environmental management capacity
  • Compliance with existing and future legislation and regulations
  • Necessary investments in cleaning or preventive measures

Flexible solutions

At the customer’s request the due diligence may be performed in accordance with international guidelines e.g. EBRD's Environmental Audit, EU's EIA directive. Based on our experience we may supplement the guidelines as necessary to cover all significant environmental issues for specific branches or enterprises. The scope and approach can be diversified from a screening to a thorough Due Diligence, depending on the customer's needs.

Short notice

NIRAS has the ability and organisational capacity to perform a thorough Due Diligence by experienced staff at short notice and within a limited time frame. Confidentiality is assured under all circumstances.
