Education in Denmark and the EU

NIRAS is a leading consultant on evaluations and analyses for the education system. We offer consultancy services for educational programmes and institutions, such as primary schools, secondary schools, vocational schools and universities.

The majority of our projects focus on the Danish education system. Increasingly, however, we have been working on EU-sponsored projects in other member states related to the exchange of knowledge and ideas between Denmark and the new EU countries.

Qualitative and quantitative methods

NIRAS carries out evaluations of schools and educational systems for Danish and international customers. We recently carried out an evaluation of students’ achievements in classes at Danish elementary and secondary schools on behalf of the Danish Evaluation Institute.

In 2003-2004 we carried out a user survey of the three schools of journalism in Denmark – also for the Evaluation Institute. Several qualitative and quantitative methods were used in both evaluations.
