Design of blast loads, prevention and investigation of accidents, blasting demolition and risk management

NIRAS specialises in demolition blasting and explosives engineering. We carry out investigations of explosion hazards in industrial processes and we design blast protection measures.

We have performed analyses and logistical management of ammunition magazines and we have designed facilities for the handling of explosives for the Danish Army and Navy. Furthermore, we have undertaken explosion testing of pipes and installations for Danish authorities, including natural gas companies.

Blast simulation

For the assessment of the effects of blast impact on structures, for instance threat assessment of terror actions, DEMEX uses a variety of different computer programs.
