PrintNIRAS strengthens top management
NIRAS has named Karol Marcinkowski as its new director of international
affairs.
Starting July 1, 2004, the executive team at NIRAS consists of Carsten Toft
Boesen, managing director, and Karol Marcinkowski.
“The main purpose is to increase the internationalisation of NIRAS, for
which the possibilities in Europe – especially in Poland – are extremely
interesting,” says Hans Kirk, chairman of the board at NIRAS.
Karol Marcinkowski has been the managing director of NIRAS Polska and of
the building and industry division of NIRAS. He took his civil engineering
degree in Poland and moved to Denmark in the mid-1970’s, where he began
working for the consulting engineers Abrahamsen & Nielsen.
In 1996 as the owner and chief executive of Abrahamsen & Nielsen, he
sold the company to NIRAS, where he has been the driving force in building
the successful Polish subsidiary with more than 100 employees.
