NIRAS reports record results

NIRAS' profits increased by 18 % to DKK 18.2 million for the year ended 30th June, 2004 - the largest profit in the company's 50-year history. The revenue for the year was DKK 391 million

“We are proud of the year’s result, which was created from all of NIRAS’ various business areas in Denmark and abroad,” says Carsten Toft Boesen, managing director of NIRAS.

During the financial year NIRAS acquired the companies Bjørn Hansen, Chemcontrol, DEMEX and Scanagri. These acquisitions have added a list of new international competences and services to NIRAS’ existing business areas.

Chairman of the board, managing director of Danfoss Hans Kirk, is highly satisfied with the result. “It is nice that NIRAS has done so well in 2003/04 without it hurting the company’s ability to constantly develop,” he says.

“Internationally, the positive development of NIRAS’ activities in Poland continues and we have established offices in Sweden and Finland. Our international activities were responsible for 25 % of this year’s revenue and we expect the number to increase to 30 % next year,” says Karol Marcinkowski, managing director of international affairs.

The positive financial result has also had a positive effect on NIRAS employees through various incentives.
