PrintNIRAS is seeing global growth
NIRAS is on its way to becoming a global consultant.
The company’s vision is to apply NIRAS’ core competences to projects and
customers all over the world. And global business is growing.
“NIRAS is well established in many countries in Europe and worldwide,” says
Carsten Toft Boesen, managing director of NIRAS. “We have carried out
projects in a total of 174 countries,” he says.
To further strengthen global business NIRAS has hired the experienced
international project manager and business developer Cherif El Ayouty. A
civil engineer by training, El Ayouty has had an impressive career, among
other things creating the international branch of Krüger from scratch.
“Nothing is impossible,” is El Ayouty’s motto and one he has already put to
use at NIRAS. He already won a bio-diesel project for NIRAS in Egypt. The
private Egyptian company AMIRAL Corporation has launched a DKK 3 billion
project aimed at planting oil-producing trees on 550,000 acres of sandy
soil in order to refine oil for distribution in Europe.
“As a project manager, NIRAS will put to use a broad range of competences
within management, environment, biotechnology, civil works and
infrastructure, construction, farming, economics, water and waste water,”
explains El Ayouty, who calls NIRAS “a fountain of knowledge”.
