PrintNIRAS buys Chemcontrol from Kommunekemi
NIRAS has bought the hazardous waste specialists Chemcontrol from
Kommunekemi.
Chemcontrol has 25 years of consulting expertise in all aspects of managing
hazardous waste, from mapping the waste to planning the collection,
transportation and disposal of waste.
Chemcontrol advises customers on legal, policy, and organisational aspects
of hazardous waste. Customers include governments, donor organisations and
large industrial companies and are located around the world. In addition,
Chemcontrol teaches companies about how to safely handle dangerous waste.
“The acquisition of Chemcontrol opens an extremely interesting
international market to NIRAS,” says Carsten Toft Boesen, managing director
of NIRAS.
All Chemcontrol employees will be transferred to the Odense office of
NIRAS, which will then become the hub for waste management services.
Managing director of Chemcontrol, Mogens Straarup, is excited to join a
company that is focused on consulting. “We have secured our long standing
relationship with Kommunekemi through a co-operation agreement,” says
Straarup.
