NIRAS and Polish port builders set up a new company
On 1 July a new company saw the light of day in Poland.  NIRAS Portconsult PBP Sp. Z o. o. will have its headquarters in Szczecin (Stettin) where 20 employees are working on, among other things, a new ferry terminal in Swinouijscie, port facilities in Szczecin and a terminal in Kazakhstan.

NIRAS is growing expansively in Sweden
On Wednesday, 10 June, NIRAS signed an agreement on the acquisition of TP Group, a Swedish company with more than 100 employees. TP Group has offices in four Swedish towns, in Finland and in Estonia. TP Group specialises in project and construction management and consultancy for builders, developers and professional leaseholders.  TP Group will be organised into an independent division within NIRAS.

A good result and investments in tomorrow
A good financial result, investments in the future and focus on the creation of added value for our customers, employees and shareholders are elements which broadly define NIRAS’ latest financial year. On the whole, the financial year 2006/2007 was a good year for NIRAS with a growth in net fees of 8%, a net income of DKK 561 million and earnings before interest and tax of DKK 25 million.

Danish biogas adventure in China
Before long, buses and taxis in a large Chinese town will drive around on biogas produced using Danish technology. NIRAS, the fourth largest engineering consultancy firm in Denmark, has won a contract for a biogas plant which will produce biogas to the equivalent of 9,000 litres of diesel per day.

NIRAS achieves results in Sweden
Since September last year the consulting engineering firm NIRAS has succeeded in establishing a good foothold in the environmental area in Sweden. NIRAS recently signed a two-year framework contract with SPIMFAB, which corresponds to the Danish Petroleum Industry’s Association for Remediation of Retail Sites.

NIRAS plans large waste centre in Bulgaria
NIRAS has won the contract for a large four-year waste project for one million Euros for the Bulgarian environmental authorities. The project is being funded by the EU and was won by a consortium with the two large consulting firms, Idom from Spain and Yüksel Proje from Turkey.
