PrintContract with NIRAS for the administration of The International Humanitarian Service (IHB)
Four companies/organisations prequalified to participate in the invitation to
tender and NIRAS was awarded the contract. The other three
companies/organisations were The Danish Association for International
Cooperation, The Danish Refugee Council and Carl Bro. The Danish Association
for International Cooperation and The Danish Refugee Council chose not to
submit a proposal.
The selection of NIRAS was based partly on its extensive experience of
personnel administration and partly on its experience of sending personnel
to countries in conflict. The Danish Foreign Ministry is looking
forward to the collaboration. The Foreign Ministry will continue to
be responsible for political decisions about the missions on which the IHBs
will be sent and at which level.
