Denmarks Radio, Concert Hall

The 22,000 m² large concert hall fulfils international standards both in terms of music and architecture. The concert hall will be optimised for classic concerts, but will allow other types of performances or musical genres. Jean Nouvel's winning proposal is a complex structure of varying volumes, which are enclosed by an outer translucent skin formed by textile sheets, on which pictures, films etc. may be projected.

The concert hall has a capacity of 1600 seats. In addition, the hall comprises 3 minor halls for productions, rehearsals and concerts.
