Condition Survey of Concrete Facade Sandwich Elements - Hovparken

Condition survey of concrete facade elements on seven house blocks, each with three floors, in Espergærde. The concrete elements are constructed as sandwich elements with exposed aggregate on the surface. The evaluation is based on a visual inspection of the facades, measurements of the concrete cover as well as extracted drilled cores. The cores are thoroughly investigated in the AEClaboratory in form of analysis of the concrete macro and micro structure as well as chemical analysis of the chloride contamination.

Based on the results of the investigations an assessment of the extent of the damage and reasons for the damage is made, as well as a proposal including an economical estimate for the repairs.
