NIRAS has acquired BlomInfo A/S, a leading supplier of advanced mapping servicesNIRAS has acquired BlomInfo, a leading Danish and international supplier of advanced mapping services, 3D city models and digital height models. BlomInfo is a subsidiary of BLOM ASA, a Norwegian listed company, and has a staff of around 40 located in offices in Copenhagen and Aarhus.
NIRAS’ strategy includes continual development of our business, adding services that either supplement our current business or increase the value of NIRAS’ consultancy. The acquisition of BlomInfo meets both of these criteria perfectly and paves the way for a range of groundbreaking, new solutions to the problems of flooding both in Denmark and globally.
“The agreement on NIRAS’ acquisition of BlomInfo contains new market potential in both Denmark and abroad. If not for this agreement, both companies would have had to invest considerable resources in cultivating this potential,” says Allan J. Christensen, Executive Director in NIRAS, and he continues:

NIRAS’ acquisition of Blominfo is effective from 1 January 2012 and BlomInfo’s staff will move into NIRAS’ premises in Allerød and Aarhus after this date.
