NIRAS has won a large-scale wastewater treatment plant project. The client is the Ringkoebing-Skjern Utilities Company. The project comprises demolition of the existing Skjern WWTP and an extension of the Tarm WWTP from 15,000 p.e. to 20,000 p.e. (person equivalent).
The project begins with a joint workshop with employees from the Ringkoebing-Skjern Utilities Company at the beginning of January 2011. After the workshop it is full steam ahead for the project with subcontract tendering of the machine contract before the summer break, and building contract as well as electrical/SCADA contract after the summer break in 2011.
The extended and optimised Tarm WWTP is scheduled to be put into operation at the beginning of 2013.
