The dialogue between citizens, politicians and the administration is under constant development. The politicians must develop the visions, the citizens must be heard and involved to the right extent, and the interaction between the political and the administrative management must find its forms.
NIRAS participates – as advisers and facilitators – in a large number of processes in which the politicians work with vision and strategy in new ways and with new perspectives. We work with the role of politicians in developing the democracy, as well as the interplay between the political and the administrative levels in the public organisation.
The public is to be involved in new ways. We have long experience of designing good public involvement plans – using new and old methods of involvement, adapted to goals and frameworks. It could be in the form of regular communication plans which ensure that the municipality appears professional to citizens as well as partners.
