Dorthe Brogård has more than 15 years' experience from private and municipal employment of analysing urban connections and designing concrete plans and strategies, including local plans and municipal plans. Along with her job as a consultant Dorthe has taught urban planning at the Roal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and the Technical University of Denmark.
Throughout the years Dorthe has drawn up a number of master plans and integrated plans for suburban landscapes, villages, town centres as well as harbour and industrial areas. Besides, Dorthe works with future-oriented action plans as well as architecture and urban space strategies with the purpose of creating more beautifil and living urban spaces. Dorthe has considerable experience in planning and implementing interdisciplinary dialogue processes involving citizens as well as politicians and administrations. In recent years Dorthe has had particular focus on health and movement in urban spaces and cultural environments worthy of preservation as a strategic tool for urban development. Also, Dorthe has worked with climate and handling of water in connection with the design of recreational areas in towns and in the countryside.
Dorthe has participated in several urban plan competitions, of which most won the first prize.
