NIRAS carries out investigations and risk assessments for public and private customers in compliance with national legislation - also in connection with property transactions. We employ the most recent and well-documented techniques for characterizing and delineating contaminated areas. Our risk assessments incorporate the use of advanced computer-based models to estimate the migration of the pollution and its impacts on the surroundings.
We have our own field laboratory and drilling equipment (Geoprobe®) for sampling and analysing of soil, water, and soil gas from a depth of up to 30 meters. This means we can use TRIAD based dynamic work plans, whereby the investigation strategy is refined on the basis of the field measurements. This allows us to delineate groundwater plumes and impacted soils in a very effective way – saving our clients both time and money.
