In NIRAS we consider electricity as a central energy carrier of the future energy system where renewable energy technologies will be playing an increasing role.
NIRAS offers consultancy services to the electricity sector in relation to environment and environmental impact assessment (EIA), improvement projects and analyses in relation to connection of wind power to the electricity network.
Gas
NIRAS has been deeply involved in natural gas projects since the establishing of the Danish natural gas pipeline in the 1980s. Our services comprise planning, design and establishing natural gas transmission and distribution plants and not least the infrastructure in connection with compression and storage of natural gas.
Our gas experts are also involved in several projects in connection with utilization of the natural gas pipeline for distribution of upgraded biogas so that the biogas can be better utilized and at the same time secure a continued utilization of the existing natural gas infrastructure
