An efficient and flexible energy infrastructure for production and transmission of energy are important elements in Denmark’s future energy supply. In this way optimization of the energy, reduction of the costs and not least a stable supply are secured.
Here co-production of electricity and heat, efficient district heating systems and intelligent electrical systems are important elements, especially with a view to integrating the increasing renewable energy in the future energy supply.
Gas production is also to be adjusted in line with the decreasing natural gas supplies from the North Sea, and the introduction of biogas in the natural gas distribution opens for new possibilities for using the existing gas infrastructure.
