The Energy and Environment Partnership (EEP) Mekong overall objective is to improve access to energy and energy services in the Mekong region.
The purpose is to adopt renewable energy (RE) and energy efficiency (EE) solutions in energy related policies and strategies that are implemented by public and private actors.
The EEP Mekong facilitates RE and EE related cooperation, dialogue and experience sharing among variety of stakeholders. The strategy is to provide funding for pilot and demonstration projects, (pre)feasibility and strategic studies, capacity building and information sharing among RE, power, EE and waste-to-energy.
The EEP will also support and allow large scale interventions when forces are joined and activities harmonized with variety of other projects/donors (e.g. ADB, UNDP, USAID, JICA) working in Mekong countries.
