Renewable energies (RE) are considered strategic in the National Development Plan (NDP) of Bolivia, in particular for policies to develop electricity infrastructure to meet domestic needs, generate a surplus for electricity export and support the country's energy independence.
Within this context, the Department of Electricity and Alternative Energy requested support from the Danish Cooperation for the preparation of a Strategic Plan for the development of the Renewable Energy Strategy in Bolivia.
