Technical Assistance to support the Dairy Sector in Guatemala, 2007-2009

The project worked to strengthen the dairy chain in Guatemala. The Chamber of Milk Producers in Guatemala was responsible for the project implementation and Niras together with Orgut provided technical assistance for an 18-month project period.
The assignment focused on building capacity of the Chamber of Milk Producers to enable them to carry out its functions as a developer of the dairy chain, from producers to dairy industry plants.
A specific result of the technical assistance was the development of milk collection centres that help in improving of the quantity and quality of locally produced milk.

- Milk supply agreements between milk producers and the dairies enhanced
