- for NTV Broadcasting Centre in Moscow
Tuesday the 18th of October 2011 the foundation stone was laid for NTV’s Broadcasting Centre in Moscow. At the same occasion the first phase of the broadcasting centre was inaugurated.
Delegates from the Russian Government, the City of Moscow and the owners of NTV, Gazprom Media, participated in the ceremony that was broadcasted on the Russian TV channel NTV.
From NIRAS Karol Marcinkowski also attended, and on behalf of NIRAS he expressed great pride of being involved in one of the world’s most innovative projects both regarding architecture, engineering and TV production. In his speech at the ceremony he said further:
- This is a very exciting project, which includes many interesting solutions. The ambition was to transform a technically complicated building programme into an expressive, flexible and functional media building, which offers creative and modern environment for its staff and visitors. The building design ensures an optimized sustainable energy consumption, and enables flexibility for future technology developments allowing change in quantity, type, nature and manner of TV production. It is my hope that the overall building design will ensure satisfaction for both employees working in the building and viewers watching the TV programmes.
