ZONE classification plan

The zone classification plan is a document describing the areas of a company where explosive atmospheres may occur. The zone classification plan states where to minimize the risk of gas and powder emissions that may be explosive.
In case of emissions it must be possible to prevent the explosive atmosphere from igniting. Hazardous explosive areas must be clearly marked, and equipment used within these areas must meet The Danish Safety Technology Authority’s requirements for electrical equipment and The Danish Working Environment Authority’s requirements for mechanical equipment.
