Energy-saving asphalt can reduce the rolling resistance and thus fuel consumption. NCC Roads A/S has asked NIRAS to analyse the potential for saving fuel in the Danish state road network and to draw up a socio-economic analysis that compares the energy-saving pavement with the traditional pavement.
The report constitutes a basis for decisions and sheds light on where it is possible to save fuels and thus CO2 in choosing pavement for the road network.
